SCeye - Process Monitoring Systems

Currently, drastic changes are happening in the methods that industries carry out their operations. The way manufacturing industries are evolving their methods and aiming to achieve more accuracy, minimize errors, reduce lead time and have more control over their processes has given rise to demand for new process monitoring systems. This trend is famously termed as Industry 4.0.

The similar trend has also been observed in the Industrial Laser application Industry.

We bring forward to you, an advanced Process monitoring system by Scansonic, the SCeye, for the first time in India.

SCeye, the camera system and illumination module is coaxially mounted with the optics.
All the visuals of the process are recorded and stored in the system.

Moreover, even the process parameters for each part number are recorded in the system:

  • Laser Power
  • Robot Speed
  • Wire feed rate and pressure
  • Swivel Axis
  • Z Position

Up to 16 such process parameters can be recorded for each part number according to the application requirement.

Advantages of SCeye Process monitoring systems:

1. Oil residues, pores, and other such defects can be easily detected by visual inspection.

2. It eliminates the need for a separate inspection station
3. As all the process parameters and even visuals for each part are recorded, if there are any defects in a particular part, it is possible to check the process parameters for that particular part and detection of the root cause for defect becomes easier.

The additional AI feature:

Scansonic has recently found a way to harness Artificial Intelligence in process monitoring.
The new Artificial Intelligence, when integrated with the SCeye system, analyzes the raw data collected by the SCeye system with the help of deep learning. Once the system is trained for detecting specific errors (as defined by the user), it automatically detects the defects and even eliminates the need for visual inspection.

Moreover, as the system is fed with more raw data, if there are any defects due to wrong parameters, the system analyzes the parameters and cause for the defect and stores it for further reference, henceforth avoiding any further defects in future operations.
